 Mark Potter is an Electronics Engineer by profession, and has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 35 years. From 1998 to 2007 he was Product Development Manager as well as joint owner and Director of an electronics components (including semiconductor) design and manufacturing company based at Hendon. He is now retired from full time involvement, allowing more time to devote to the local community.
Mark's long and intimate association with private industry has given him valuable insight to and empathy for small to medium business owners and the challenges of running a business. He understands first-hand the constant battle waged by local businesses against government imposed impediments to manufacturing. Governments seem to have a knack of finding new and interesting ways to tax small business. Mark's goal is to get the Government off the backs and out of the pockets of small business.
Mark grew up in the northern suburbs (Salisbury), has lived in the North East region for over 20 years. He has been married to his lovely wife Judi for over 30 years and has two grown up children.
Mark is a keen musician and plays piano and bass guitar.
He has contested the last state election in March 2010 as the Family First candidate for the seat of Wright, and the last federal election in August 2010 as the Family First candidate for the seat of Makin.
